Louise Bartle completed a Bachelor of Medical Science and Bachelor of Science (Honours) at Flinders University in South Australia and is now completing her PhD at the University of Adelaide. Louise has spent time working on her PhD project at the University of Cambridge and the University of Bordeaux. Louise’s PhD project involves the exploration of yeast-bacteria interactions and their role during winemaking. To achieve this she is using a range of molecular and computational techniques. Louise has published a review on microbial interactions in wine and plans to develop an industry fact sheet for winemakers based on her PhD findings. Louise will address Yeast-bacteria compatibility in wine: it’s complicated! in Session 9. Fresh Science B on Wednesday.
