Dr Jo Luck is the Program Director for the Plant Biosecurity Research Initiative where she leads the development of collaborative, cross-sectoral plant biosecurity research – a new model for RD&E investment. Prior to this she was the Research Director at the Plant Biosecurity CRC, supporting plant biosecurity research and capacity-building for 27 participant organisations from Australia, New Zealand and the USA. Jo is a past member of the ARC College and chaired the ARC Industry Advisory Panel for Industrial Transformation Hubs and Centres. She provides advice on Food and Agribusiness RD&E to AusIndustry under the Global Innovation Linkage scheme. She was a Principal Research Scientist in plant microbiology at Agriculture Victoria and a joint Associate Professor with La Trobe University, working on the effects of climate change on pests and diseases of major food crops.
