McWilliam’s Maurice O’Shea Award Dinner
The McWilliam’s Maurice O’Shea Award Dinner is held in partnership with the AWITC, serving as the conference dinner and the highlight of the social program. The dinner honours the winner of the McWilliam’s Maurice O’Shea Award, which recognises an individual, brand, institute, activity or entity that has made a historically significant contribution to the Australian wine industry. Dress Code: Formal.
Networking function
Held in the exhibition space, this event provides a great opportunity to chat to exhibitors and other delegates while enjoying Australian wine and canapés. The networking function is included in the registration fee for all delegates.

Pop-up bars
Hugely popular at the last AWITC, keep a look out for the pop-up bars at locations within WineTech. Each pop-up will provide the opportunity to taste wines from a specific region, style or association. Follow @the_AWITC on Twitter for hints on when and where to find the pop-up bars.
Style tasting
Immediately following the final plenary session, the style tasting is the last social event of the conference! This is a chance to discuss everything you’ve heard and seen during the conference while tasting wines that showcase the wide variety of styles produced across Australia.
